Hot Pots

There are these hot pots up Diamond Fork Canyon. We tried to go there with Kelsey and Jordan. It used to be that you could drive up to the trail head and then hike the 2 miles in. Sadly, the road was closed about 2 miles (or so we guesstimated) from where the trail started. Instead of turning around immediately, we decided to walk and see if maybe we could still enjoy the afternoon sitting in the pots.

We walked and talked and enjoyed the afternoon together. Finally we passed some people walking back from the hot pots. They said from where we parked it was actually 3 miles to the trail head and then 2 to the pots. That makes for a 10 mile round trip adventure. It was already 4ish, Kelsey still had her master's thesis to write and turn in the next day (she's really smart and ambitious), and it was pretty chilly.

We decided it would be best to turn around. While we didn't make it to the hot pots, it still was a great afternoon spent with friends. Next time we go, we are taking bikes...
