Our puppy, Nakita has not been a fan of swimming. She always liked getting her paws in but she never went swimming . . .until recently. (It must have taken some time for the lab in her to emerge.) However, her technique is not one I've EVER seen before and I laugh each time she swims. She doesn't quite understand that she won't sink and therefore she has to get her front paws paddling before she is in deep enough water where she can actually swim. I'm not sure if she will ever be the dog that will run and jump off a dock into deep water solely to get a ball, but I'm sure I'll continue to laugh as long as she swims the way she does now.
