Spelunking

My dad plays in the Senior Games in St. George every fall. This means my Uncle Alan(who has a house in St. George) and my mom go on excursions around the area. I decided I would head down and join them for the weekend. Paul Johnson (the guy green striped shirt) is an adventurer at heart, as well as a pilot for Delta, and a friend extraordinaire of Alan, so he arranged for us to explore Bloomington Cave out in the middle of who knows where.
The Crew

It's as if we are wondering, "What's down there?"

The cave didn't have too tough of terrain. There were a few places that would be difficult to get through if you were vertically challenged, but other than that is was easy going. Paul told stories about being a pilot which, if you had any fears of flying, his stories would only make you feel worse about it. (He confided that with technology now-a-days pilots really don't know where they are. They just put in the coordinates and shoot the breeze for the duration. He also said stuff breaks pretty often and he even had passengers point out that one of the engines was shooting sparks prior to take off.)

I loved that none of us knew everyone in the group before we went. Everyone knew someone but there wasn't one common thread.

The reminder of the weekend was spent riding bikes, eating a lot of oreos, relaxing, and freezing our feet off as we hiked Kanarraville Falls... so gorgeous...but such cold water!!
