Saturday, May 12th - Miami

We were off the ship by 10am and then went to rent our luxurious Ford, Crown Victoria.  We were supposed to have a compact car but those were all gone so they offered us the police cruiser at no extra cost - how could we say no?!  We had a good laugh as Shane checked out with the lady at the gate.

Lady:  How are you?
Shane: Good.  I feel like I'm a cop in this car.
Lady: Yeah.
Shane: Would you ever drive a car like this?
Lady: No!  Are you headed to Naples.
Shane: No.  Why?
Lady: Most people who drive this kind of car go to Naples.
Shane: There are a lot of old people in Naples.

We stopped off in what a fellow cruiser called "star island"  to see all the big houses with yachts.  There was a gate with a guard, however, when we pulled up in our cop car, the guard raised the gate.  That was good for a laugh! 

We cruised down the road adjacent to Miami beach.  The boys oohed and aahed over the nice cars.  We stopped for a bite at a little burger joint and then headed down to the beach.  Before we knew it, it was time to catch our flights and our cruise trip was over.  What an awesome vacation!
